7 Days of Blogging

Lance: The worlds most heroic and chivalrous steed.

This day marks the first week of LCs creation. This week has certainly been a fun and creative week, and all the posts have been very scattered. I apologize for the inconsistency of the posts and the constantly changing attitudes. No guarantees that it will be changing soon but know that I understand what needs to be done. Ideas are still coming in and I will figure it all out soon enough. As of now I will make my best effort to publish at least one post a day. However, once my swim season begins a post quota that dense will be very difficult to maintain. Due to the scarce free time during swim season posts will probably only be published about half as much as they are right now. (Although depending on how ambitious I feel the blog might maintain its current publishing pace.)

Well... to celebrate week number one (I refuse to celebrate next week, this is not a weekly thing.) I will attempt to sum up each day that has passed with a poem.

Last Wednesday (Creation Day):

Each hour growing worse and worse
choose your favorite nostril, either left or right
one filled with snot and ready to burst
create a blog and let it take flight

(I was sick this day and all I can remember is the constant struggle of all the snot in my nose only going to one side. This annoyance was worse than actually being in a state of disadvantaged health.)

Thursday:

Eh just try to make it through the day
don't stare into the light, don't even glance
Eyelids shut just let them stay
oh great now my eye wants to dance

(This day I went to work and school... which was an absolutely terrible idea. Every time I looked at a light I would immediately tear up and couldn't see out of one eye. My left eyelid also developed a slight twitch on this night and no matter what I tried it wouldn't stop.)

Friday:

Positive thoughts and chin held high
never mind just a repeat of yesterday
I'm thinking I just want to die
take advantage of every second to lay

(This day I was so hopeful when I woke up, but I was still just as sick as the previous day. After I got home I went straight to bed and stared at the ceiling for at least an hour and a half.)

Saturday:

The dance is tonight, everyone is getting ready
meh games sound much more satisfying
friends and I, playing resistance, fast and steady
each win more and more gratifying.

(This was the night that my school had the Sadie Hawkins dance (or "morp"). Instead I invited some friends over and we all just played board games... one of the best decisions I've made in my entire life. The never-ending conflict and mission to catch the spies hidden within the resistance provided an entirely new purpose to my life.)

Sunday:

Dawn signals the start to the trek
all things can be solved with one deed
if not done all will end up a wreck
I shall not fail with my noble steed.

(This day was really boring so the poem is about going to save the world... but it can only be done with the speakers majestic horse, Lance.)

Monday:

Another one to begin
a day from seven to ten
wait... seven to six - yes! a win.
Time to reach for enlightenment and zen

(I typically have to close at work on mondays, this means I leave for school at 7 a.m. and don't arrive back home until about 10:00. To my surprise I did not have to close this night and celebrating by getting home and redecorating my zen garden.)

Tuesday:

Everything covered in white
slipping and sliding all over the ice
the fog blocking my sight
I just feel bad for the mice.

(There was a ton of snow outside this day and the roads were incredibly slippery (at least on some roads). The fog from my breath gathered on the windshield and obstructed my vision, unfortunately my cars heater doesn't kick in until about the time I arrive at school. I feel bad for all the mice because it was so cold outside that they most likely died, and if they didn't they are the offspring of Satan.)
