A Revelation Pt. 1

A man wearing tattered clothes awakens lying on the ground next to an oak tree in the woods. No signs of civilization as far as the eye can see. He begins running and approaches a large hallow tree. He walks inside and collapses. He begins having flashbacks of his early days; days of famine and war. His senses come back to him, a shadow comes over him. Looking up he sees a man without a face, a wooden stake emerging from his chest. Weeping over the man's body his tears begin to hit the soil. A wilted flower suddenly blooms.

80 Topics Challenge: Number 1

Hey guys... it's been a while, but I will be back for a while because I am taking on a new challenge consisting of writing about a different topic every day for 80 days. Just a quick update as to why pictures and stuff is missing from around the blog:

I play an online nation simulator game called Politics and War, and I help run a forum for the alliance I lead. Someone got really upset with me and my allies so they decided to hack into the forum and try to take control of our emails, eventually my friends and I abandoned our old emails and made new ones. Due to the old email being nuked, all the files under that author for the blog disappeared and I only salvaged what I could by signing this new email over as another author.

Day 1: What is something you have given away or lost that can never be replaced?

This is a very tricky and touchy question for me, if it is talking about a physical possession then it's not as fun or emotional of a story - oh well. We will start with the boring story first and build up because that's what seems better. In terms of a possession I lost my first pet that I was supposed to be held responsible for, it was a baby corn snake. To this day I will still pin the blame on my brother because he didn't put the weight keeping the lid down back on it, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I had been losing interest in the pet; I have a habit of jumping from hobby to hobby very quickly, it is not common for me to stay with something for over a year.

Something I have lost in any other meaning of "something" is a hard question to identify an answer for. I would like to say my childhood, but to many I am still a child. My life has just been drastically different lately because of me leaving the nest and going out on my own. Honestly that is not a valid answer because everyone will have to go through that rite of passage. The honest answer is a best friend, growing up I had two (I'm mostly talking about middle school/high school years). Their names were Trevor and Kody, and it's not to say that I don't have friends where I am now; but I fear that I will not form the same sort of relationship with anyone else - at least not anyone I've met so far. The simple solution is "oh just go chill with them again" but it's not quite that simple. They both have moved on to start their own lives and the way things are now don't allow for me to be around them to talk to them in the same manner as before. To any friends reading this: I still appreciate all of you, please don't interpret this the wrong way. I am not trying to imply that I don't have any friends, but I don't have any friends with bonds nearly as strong as the one's I had formed with Trevor and Kody.

Alright well that's one down and.... 79 to go! Cheers!

Going Camping

Hey everyone! So I am going to be on a trip for a week and will not have any time to work on my writing let alone post anything. So I regret to inform you that a new post is not likely to be up until about a week from now, a little more actually. I do have good news though! I have added another half year to my life story so year 17 is pretty much completed now... so if you get really incredibly bored that is always an open option.

Alright thanks guy! Cedric the Pygmy Part 2 is in its final stages before being officially published on the blog and hopefully this week of camping will inspire me with more awesome ideas for writing.

Cedric the Pygmy

I couldn't find a pygmy man picture that I wanted. So instead I got you guys a pygmy goat. Enjoy!

Part 1:

There once was a man named Cedric, he accomplished very great things for a man of his stature. The interesting thing about Cedric was that he was a pygmy man among a society of average sized humans. His entire life he had felt as if he was destined for something great, and there was a deep power growing within him.... Unfortunately his life took a turn for the worst when he got bullied mercilessly through school and ended up making a living by being a bank robber.

*cue cliché song while camera pans over to reveal Cedric peeling out in an aged Ford Taurus*

Cedric looks over at his accomplice Liam, they had just succeeded in taking stealing 2 million dollars from a swiss bank.

"So the terms set are 60-40."
"I dont know C, I think we should just go 50-50."
"I found the target and developed the plan, you were just along for the ride Liam. You'd be nothing without me. It's 60-40."

Liam continues to try and talk his way into a larger cut, but Cedric doesn't go for it. They stop at a barn and begin to unload the money into a vault, then they hear a car pull up outside.

"Who the hell is that?", asked Liam.
"I dont know, did you invite any friends? We should be the only people around here for miles..."

Cedric goes and hides between to bales of hay, Liam is too big to fit and starts to make a run for it. Cedric peeks outside and catches a glimpse of Liam getting shot down about thirty yards from the barn. He waits a few minutes and doesn't hear anything, then suddenly the hay started catching fire, it was starting at the hay just outside the door and making its way over to him. He bolts towards the vault and pockets all the money he can, then immediately turns around to see a man towering over him. The man picks him up and demands the money, Cedric handed about half of the money in his pockets. The man throws him down and begins to walk away, then looks back.

"I dont appreciate being lied to. I know there is more money." he said.
"Alright, I will show you the vault." Cedric motions to the vault and opens it, the remaining money rests in there. He feels inside his pockets to make sure he still has some.
"Is this a joke? I'm going to give you one more chance to come clean. Hand me all that you have, or you are going to force my hand."
Cedric begins to run for the door, but the man was too fast and caught him. He lifted Cedric up real high then threw his body on the floor - he laid there lifeless as his pockets were emptied.

...

A small light appeared.

"He is awake! He's up! Ma come look!"

Cedric raised his head and saw a women and a little boy. He tried to speak but nothing came out... and everything fell back to darkness.

"He is trying to rest Chris, just leave him alone. He will come 'round soon enough."

To be continued...

Hey guys so I've been really bored and struggling for material to write about that isn't a bit repetitive. So I know this section is a little iffy but everything has to start somewhere and I promise you this is going places. I've recently been pretty busy and stressed out with life due to a series of unexpected events, but it should all pass soon. That means I will be able to commit more time to blogging and writing, I am pleased to see that my audience is still growing despite my inconsistencies and thank you guys so much. Whenever I get a little sad it is always refreshing to come here and see how many people are appreciating my works.

Tattoo, and Other Fun News

"We all walk around with a million faces"

Hey readers (all 5 of you now) so I figured I would share some news with you since I've been struggling to think of a good topic.

For starters I got a tattoo, it is the day my grandpa passed away in roman numerals. Kind of funny though because the day was on 9-11 so I have 9-11-2013 on my back. (IX-XI-MMXIII)

I was done teaching swim lessons because I won't be able to teach for the month of July due to a trip and the tattoo, until my boss decided its okay for me to just teach from outside of the pool... Really looking forward to dealing with all the angry parents.

This will be my last full month of living in Colorado Springs until next summer, I leave for Montana August 18th.

I decided to start writing raps... we shall see how that actually turns out. Hopefully I will be posting one up here soon.

I will gone the week of the 13-19th and will be at a camp having too much fun to blog.

I finally succeeded in finding a friend who appreciates Cloud Cult like I do. The most under-appreciated band in existence. Just listen to this and resist the urge to buy all their music.

Went to this place called graffiti falls for the first time last night, super fun place. I strongly recommend going there to anyone who lives in the Colorado Springs area.

Managed to squeeze in a trip to this really awesome museum downtown, I saw a bunch of old dental supplies and have never been as thankful for modern dentistry.

Alright thats a wrap. I gotta go run some errands. Until next time!

The Most Under-Appreciated Inventions

Today I will outline the most under-appreciated inventions, or utilities available for humans in today's modern society. This topic was influenced by a good friend of mine who has a really awesome blog about really awesome subjects. The following items will be listed in no specific order other than the order in which I think of them.

1. Toilet Paper:

Toilet paper is a fundamental part of nearly everyone's daily life, and without it many of us would be much more vile creatures than we are today. It not only assists us reaching a satisfactory completion of doing our business, but also contributes to combatting nose-bleeds. In addition to those incredible purposes it also doubles over as a great tissue, I only recommend two-ply when using as tissue though.

2. Numbers:

Numbers are a way humans have enabled themselves to interpret and explain the universe, yet people just view numbers as... well numbers. Without numbers we would have no way to make any sort of calculations so just about everything used by humanity today would have never existed.

3. Zipties:

Zipties, while not as useful as numbers, are very interesting and scary things. They can not only be used to make electronics packaging a mission to open, but also as handcuffs. If they are that difficult to break then who is to say than one can't be strangled to death by a zip tie? They are traps and deadly weapons.

4. Sunscreen:

Helping prevent skin cancer more and more every day.

5. Steel:

Steel is used for such a huge variety of reasons, from jewelry to weapons. Without steel I would not be able to represent the immense fashion that I do; a turtleneck and chain all day every day.

This post will be edited as I think up more ideas.

I'm Sorry

Hello readers... if you still exist. This post is dedicated to all of my friends and family who have been insisting that I continue blogging. I'm so sorry that it has taken me so long to finally get around to writing another post. So I feel that I owe it to all of you to tell you what I have been up to in the last three or four months. I will attempt to categorize the events by month, but bear with me because my writing has likely gotten much worse (due to me not writing at all anymore) and also because my memory can be pretty awful sometimes. Well here goes:

February:
This month was a big deal because my entire daily life and schedule was completely different from how it was. I was incredibly busy all the time because of swim season starting up, but also I starting dating someone else and it has been so awesome and stress-free the entire time. The same can not be said about swim, swim this year was a bit overwhelming due to the difficulty of practices and days with double practices. Those days consisted of a morning weights workout that typically followed the design of a crossfit workout, and a swim practice after school. I also was juggling swim, and school with my work at the swimming pool. I had done the same junior year but I only made myself available to work on sundays junior year, and now I was trying to work nights after practice in addition to weekends. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays I was teaching private swim lessons when I didn't have a swim meet interfering with the lessons. Needless to say; I was a busy guy. This month I also started mending my friendship with the friend mentioned in my life story and I just had a billion things going on... so blogging was neglected. (Once again uh... sorry)

March:
The first swim meet happened this month and I was incredibly shocked with the times I managed to pull that early in the season. I also finished my TOK class (discussed in another old post about the personality tests) so two of the seven classes at school consisted of well -- nothing. My Chinese teacher who had been gone probably since I started blogging because she just had a child returned. Things with the new girlfriend had been getting a lot better, she keeps herself well-guarded but I could tell she was really trying to let me in and trust me more. Spring break happened and I went to visit the college I will be attending this fall, Montana State University, pretty much the coolest school ever. During that trip my mom and I had really bonded and connected, we had been the only two living in the house just months before yet somehow we had managed to drift so far apart. The trip was not only fun because I got see the school, but it was probably one of the last big events I will get to share with my mom and it could not have gone any better (aside from us almost running out of gas in the middle of Wyoming... but thats for another time). The private lessons I taught on Saturdays ended at the end of March and... that just about concludes the month.

April:
April was the worst month ever at school, simply because graduation was so close but I had to stay motivated because of all the impending tests in my IB classes. It wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't taking practice tests every day in all of my classes, which honestly made me want to go to a corner, curl up in the fetal position, then die. OH! I failed to mention at the very end of March I started playing a game called Politics and War which overtook my life completely during this month. The game also became very popular at school and it actually became the "cool" thing to do... to play a browser-based, typing game. I once heard someone tell another person "you can't sit with us right now, we are talking about alliance affairs" in one of my classes. I still really enjoyed the game but for a little while I only talked to select people about the game. This was also kind of a sad month because the whole new relationship thing (for me) was intended to be relaxed and we both knew we would be going to different colleges in different states... and yeah you get the picture. However, I had grown to have really strong feelings for her and thinking about what to do when fall came was a conversation that I knew was coming, but wanted to avoid for as long as I could.

May:
Well to start the month off swim season ended (sorta) but then I still went to practices to help out with all the state stuff, even though I didn't personally qualify myself. State was super fun, the actual swimmers and all of us other guys who went just to look pretty had some interesting pranks going on at a mall in Denver. I also made the paper plate awards with the two other captains, they were the best  paper plate awards in Palmer high school history. I also graduated... so that was kinda cool. My dad and two younger sisters came from California to support me the entire graduation week and that was really awesome. It'd been awhile since I'd seen them and to me it seemed like my dad cared more about this than anything else I had done in my entire life. I was amazed with how helpful and overall awesome he was this entire trip. At work I started working way more and it was nice to see all of my co-workers on a regular basis again. The month concluded with a camping trip that consisted of 7 people, this camping trip was actually located where we spread my grandfathers ashes about half a year ago and it was an incredibly fun experience I got to share with my girlfriend, teammates, and friends. It also made me somewhat upset because I know I only have a couple months left to share with these amazing people. That weekend was spent with an amazing girl who was willing to do anything to help out (I helped out someone else put a tent away, I went back to mine and it was all put away.. properly too.) Great friends who drove up early to set up camp while the rest of us were too busy to go up early, and just extremely fun people to spend time with.

Okay well... I am going to attempt to post regularly again, I feel incredibly guilty to have neglected it for so long. Alternatively if you register on Politics and War... Rose alliance is where its at.
